About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and assistance to seniors in their own homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. You will serve as a friendly face, offering support with daily tasks and engaging in activities that bring joy and ease to the member's life.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day interactions will focus on enhancing the quality of life for your assigned member. This includes running errands such as picking up groceries or medications, providing transportation to medical appointments or the bank, and assisting with pet care like walking or feeding. You will also help members navigate technology by teaching them how to use video calls or email, and assist with light household tasks like laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
Beyond practical assistance, a significant part of the role is social engagement. You will spend time conversing, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks. The goal is to build a genuine connection and provide reliable support that allows members to maintain their independence and enjoy their daily routines.
