About the Team

Tenet Health Care and DMC Medical Group are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a collaborative group of four cardiologists (noninvasive and interventional), two adult cardiothoracic surgeons, and two pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons. This team provides comprehensive services to the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) hospitals in Metro Detroit. DMC is an award-winning medical center comprising multiple adult hospitals and a freestanding pediatric hospital, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers and tertiary care referral centers.

The group operates primarily at Sinai Grace Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center in northwest Detroit, and Harper University Hospital, the DMC flagship with a strong affiliation to Wayne State University. Sinai Grace is recognized as one of only 10 hospitals in the nation to receive a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant for setting cardiac care standards. The facility has earned multiple accolades, including the Leapfrog Group Top Hospital for Safety and Quality and the JCAHO Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Center.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will focus on invasive and interventional procedures while maintaining a willingness to perform non-invasive and general cardiology cases. This full-time employed position offers a mix of clinical responsibilities across the DMC network. Physicians will have the opportunity to engage with cardiology residents and fellows, providing teaching opportunities within the academic environment of Wayne State University.

The role includes comprehensive support services, with in-house billing, coding, and collections handled by the practice. Additional administrative burdens are alleviated through provided website development and marketing support. The position includes malpractice coverage and a CME allowance.
