About the Role
At Southlawn Elementary, we are dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient learning environment for our students and staff. This position serves as a vital link in our campus security team, ensuring the school remains a place where learning can thrive without disruption.
As a Campus Security Officer, you will be the eyes and ears of the school, patrolling the building and grounds to prevent property damage and regulate unauthorized access. Your day will involve monitoring student behavior, diffusing hostile situations, and managing traffic in the student parking lot. You will work closely with administration and counselors to support student well-being, enforce school rules, and maintain order during high-stakes events such as games, dances, and graduations.
This role is essential for creating a culture of safety. You will mediate student conflicts, investigate incidents involving drugs or alcohol, and collaborate with School Resource Officers (SROs) when necessary. From supervising safety drills to assisting with event setup, your presence ensures that the campus operates smoothly and that students are protected from truancy, physical altercations, and other safety hazards.

Requirements
