Suncoast Post-Tension Ltd, a Keller Company, is an established post-tension and rebar manufacturing firm with over 30 years of experience. We supply construction-related materials to builders through eight manufacturing facilities across the United States.
About the Role
We are seeking a CAD Drafter / Detailer to join our team near Houston, TX. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and placement drawings for post-tensioned concrete structures. This role is designed for individuals with a can-do attitude and basic AutoCAD skills; we are willing to train recent graduates or those with relevant experience.
Your day-to-day will involve building professional relationships with customers at project start-up and developing construction joint layouts and sequences. You will create drawing submittal schedules, monitor progress to maintain timelines, and identify construction problems to implement solutions. The role requires producing installation drawings and calculations, applying revisions based on comments, and managing material takeoffs for change orders. You will also issue placement drawings prior to fabrication and coordinate with the Operations Department to ensure materials are fabricated and delivered according to the customer's construction schedule.
