R.T. Moore is a mid-size mechanical contractor and one of the largest in the nation. We pride ourselves on a culture where employees are more than just a number. Here, everyone is treated with respect, and leadership genuinely cares about you as a person, actively listening to your input.
As a CAD Designer I, you will be critical to our organization by using CAD software to provide support and produce accurate, detailed information in a timely manner. Your work enables first-time quality for our clients, ensuring that plumbing and mechanical designs meet both client and company specifications.
In this role, you will produce dimensioned plans for single-family projects to be used by field teams for construction. You will comprehensively create material lists, identify plumbing needs for various fixtures, and accurately place drains, water lines, HVAC diffusers, and equipment according to RTM Standard practices. You will also review builder documents to interpret options correctly and ensure all designs are code compliant.
Beyond technical design, you will serve as a communication hub, collaborating with trades, architects, general contractors, project managers, and internal departments like estimating. You will use project management software to coordinate with the internal team and keep all individuals abreast of project progress.
Join us for a steady Monday-to-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends. You will work in an indoor office setting in our Indianapolis location. We offer a supportive environment where your perspective matters.
