About the Role
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a critical bridge between mission users and product teams in a high-stakes environment. Your primary mission is to lead the collection, capture, and management of user needs from the initial prioritization phase through concept development and user story creation. By facilitating the gathering of business-focused requirements, you will empower product owners to define robust backlogs that truly reflect the users' perspective.
Your work directly drives improved usability, user experience, and adoption of complex software solutions. You will translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional requirements and document business rules and workflow diagrams to ensure clarity across the development lifecycle. This role requires active participation in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities, ensuring that business implications are carefully considered when applying technology to complex projects.
Team Context
This position operates within a multi-enclave environment supporting forensic and investigative systems. You will coordinate closely with IT infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with strict business requirements while navigating the complexities of Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/SCI networks. Success in this role demands a deep understanding of enterprise application architecture and the ability to manage change within a rigorous SAFe governance framework.
Location & Clearance
This role is based in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to access the necessary systems and information.
