The Business Service Officer reports directly to the Market Business Service Officer (MBSO) and serves as a pivotal leader within the branch. This role is responsible for the supervision and management of Support Professionals, ensuring the execution of all business and service functions. The BSO acts as a strategic partner to the MBSO, facilitating communication and training for Service Professionals while collaborating with Market Sales and Risk teams to ensure comprehensive business execution.
In this position, you will lead the branch in executing the organization's strategic priorities by influencing and coaching behavioral change with a focus on consistency, quality, and compliance. You will mentor and supervise a team of Support and Service Professionals, managing their coverage for Financial Advisors and fostering a culture of cross-training, learning, and development. A key part of the day-to-day involves conducting one-on-one meetings for coaching, career goal setting, and team building, as well as partnering with Human Resources on performance management and conflict resolution. Additionally, you will manage operational oversight, including travel and entertainment expenses, budget tracking, and the implementation of process improvements to drive efficiency.
Candidates for this role must possess the required industry licenses, including Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65). The selection process evaluates candidates for strong leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to think strategically. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the firm's core values and a history of supervisory experience.
