Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults. We provide in-classroom skill development, access to internships, job placement services, and personalized coaching and mentorship through four unique career pathways. Our mission is to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, helping participants launch professional careers with the support they need to succeed.
If you are passionate about building relationships, interested in organizational processes, and excited to use data to achieve business outcomes, the Business job training pathway could be the right fit for you. This pathway combines technical and professional training in Business Operations, Financial Operations, and Project Management. Participants gain access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm, YUPRO Placement.
Internships may be secured at leading organizations such as Bank of America, Merck, Amazon, or LinkedIn, among many others in the New York and New Jersey area. The program is designed to equip you with customer communications, team-based project coordination, comprehensive finance training, and professional business and communication skills. You will also develop interviewing and networking skills, resume building expertise, and receive ongoing support to help launch your career.
Graduates of the program have access to diverse career growth paths, including roles such as HR Coordinator, Data Analysis and Reporting/Business Intelligence, Fund Accounting, Project Coordinator, Operations Support, and Client Services Support. The impact of our program is clear: 72% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
To apply to Year Up United, you must be a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the program. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills and who have not yet obtained a Bachelor's degree.
