As a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician, you will serve as an Owner's Representative for a Department of Defense customer in Arlington, VA. This is a client-facing position where you act as the primary liaison between Chinook Systems and the DoD, providing direct expertise and QA/QC support for other BAS contractors. You will be the go-to on-site authority for the operation and maintenance of the BAS system, ensuring it is optimized to meet mission-critical control and monitoring requirements without alarms or overrides.
In this role, you will coordinate and manage both internal and external resources to deliver on strict deadlines and project expectations. Your day-to-day involves reviewing contractor work, overseeing system design, installation, and programming, and updating graphical displays and computer-based interfaces. You will also maintain strong relationships with all engineering disciplines and identify opportunities to develop new business.

This position requires the ability to walk construction sites with uneven surfaces, carry up to 25 lbs., and climb stairs and ladders. You must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in severe weather conditions, confined spaces, and dust-generating environments. Maintaining spatial awareness and complying with safety standards while working near mechanical and electrical building equipment is essential, as is the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.

Active Secret or higher Security Clearance. OSHA 30 hour certificate. Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI). Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or another related discipline or a 2-year associates degree in BAS, HVAC Controls, or HVAC engineering technologies.
