This is a full-time, career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) position designed for individuals who love protecting their community and are looking for a change of scenery. Whether you gained your experience as part of a military police unit or as a member of a state or local law enforcement organization, you will work alongside highly trained professionals.
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of a dynamic environment where your prior law enforcement experience may qualify you for higher-graded opportunities (GL-9 or GS-11). The role involves detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, preventing and apprehending smugglers, and interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry. You will patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a variety of assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road equipment, often conducting night operations with infrared scopes.
