Help others live more independently and reach their goals. As a Behavioral Technician (internally titled Community Living Instructor), you will provide essential support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting. Your primary mission is to ensure the safety, well-being, and daily success of the individuals you serve.
In this role, you will create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment while offering hands-on support with daily living skills, social engagement, and behavior management. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain experience in behavioral health, psychology, or social services, or for anyone passionate about helping others lead healthier, more independent lives.
Your day will involve actively assisting residents in building life skills, establishing routines, and developing positive social behaviors. You will play a key role in rehabilitation and behavior support programs, monitoring and documenting changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition. Responsibilities include providing basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs, and administering medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
A significant part of the role involves transporting clients to appointments and community activities, requiring a valid driver's license. You will also maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment and participate in emergency response and safety procedures. Accurate and timely documentation is essential to ensure continuity of care.
This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Candidates who enjoy working directly with people, making a positive impact, and thrive in a fast-paced or changing environment are encouraged to apply. We look for individuals who are calm, patient, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills. Experience as a CNA or CMA is a plus, as is a comfort level with assisting in basic care and household responsibilities.
