About the Team
Spartanburg Medical Center (SMC) in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is seeking a Full-Time Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) Infectious Disease physician to join the SMC Center for Infectious Disease. You will become an integral part of a collaborative group consisting of four BC Infectious Disease physicians and one Physician Assistant.
About the Role
This position offers a unique hybrid model combining inpatient and outpatient care, featuring half-day clinics. A key highlight of the role is the ability to maintain continuity of care by following your own patients across both settings. You will work alongside a dedicated support team, including inpatient and outpatient wound care specialists, infectious disease pharmacists, a nutritionist, and a mental health counselor embedded directly into the program.\n Outpatient services you will manage include a well-established Ryan White clinic, travel medicine, outpatient consultations, and primary care for Ryan White patients. The team utilizes the EPIC EMR system and operates within a PLSF-approved institution. Call responsibilities are structured as 1:5 on weekdays and weekends, split evenly among all providers.
