About the Team

MobilityWorks is dedicated to serving the disabled community by providing accessible minivans, full-size vans with lifts, and commercial fleet vehicles. Our mission is to empower wheelchair users with the mobility, independence, and freedom they deserve. We are a team-centric organization that deeply values every individual's skills and contributions, driven by core values that fulfill our mission and create a positive impact on our customers' lives.

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, not limited to the mobility sector. We strongly encourage military veterans to apply and embrace diversity and inclusivity. Join an organization that invests in you and become part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

About the Role

As an Automotive Technician at MobilityWorks, you will join a team of mechanics and technicians of varying expertise levels. This role is designed for those passionate about making a positive impact while performing highly skilled mechanical work. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment, diagnosing complex issues, conducting vehicle inspections, performing road tests, and operating specialized industry equipment.

The position offers a remarkable work-life balance with regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), ensuring no late nights or weekends. This schedule allows you to spend quality time with your family or pursue interests outside of work. Every team member is highly valued, and the role provides an incredibly fulfilling experience within a supportive environment.

Career Progression: The Tech Tier Program

MobilityWorks offers a structured career path known as the Tech Tier Program, allowing you to grow from an entry-level apprentice to a Master Mobility Technician. As you progress through each level, you will unlock incentives such as patches, toll reimbursement, additional PTO accrual, and eligibility for the President's Club trip.

  • Apprenticeship Mechanic: An entry-level position for students enrolled in accredited technical programs. You will receive hands-on mentoring from Certified or Advanced Mobility Technicians, gaining on-the-job experience with installations and repairs.
  • Service Mechanic: Designed for entry-level mechanics seeking to acquire automotive repair skills alongside an introduction to the mobility industry. You will complete the Technician Playbook and handle mechanical repairs, general diagnosis, PDI, vehicle check-ins, and general adaptive equipment installations.
  • Mobility Technician: For those who have completed Service Mechanic requirements and primary driving control training. You will begin installing electronic and mechanical primary driving controls, performing driver fittings, and handling electronic lockdown installations.
  • Certified Mobility Technician: With at least six months of hands-on experience, you will perform OEM electronic repairs and advanced diagnostics under supervision, while also mentoring other mechanics.
  • Advanced Mobility Technician: Requiring at least 24 months of hands-on mobility experience, this level involves comprehensive repairs, diagnostics, and mentorship responsibilities.
  • Master Mobility Technician: The pinnacle of the career path, requiring extensive experience and specific certifications (EMC, ASE A6, S1, E3). Master Technicians operate without supervision and can perform any mobility installation or repair.

Hiring Process & Application

We are actively seeking candidates to join our team urgently. If you are passionate about our mission and possess the drive to grow within our Tech Tier Program, please apply to contribute to our team. We look forward to reviewing your application and discussing how you can help us empower the disabled community.
