About the Team

MobilityWorks is dedicated to serving the disabled community by providing accessible minivans, full-size vans with lifts, and commercial fleet vehicles. Our mission is to empower wheelchair users with the mobility, independence, and freedom they deserve. We are a team-centric organization that deeply values the skills, efforts, and contributions of every individual, driven by core values that fulfill our purpose and create a positive impact on our customers' lives.

We strongly encourage military veterans to apply and embrace diversity and inclusivity. Join an organization that invests in you and become part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

About the Role

As an Automotive Technician at MobilityWorks, you will join a team of mechanics and technicians of varying expertise levels. Whether you are a student entering the field or an experienced professional, there is a place for you in our Tech Tier Program. This role is designed for those passionate about making a positive impact through highly skilled mechanical work, including the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment.

You will be part of a culture that offers a remarkable work-life balance with regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), ensuring no late nights or weekends. This structure allows you to spend quality time with your family or pursue your interests outside of work. Every team member is highly valued, and we appreciate the unique skills you bring to the table.

Career Progression

MobilityWorks offers a structured path for growth through our Tech Tier Program, allowing you to advance from an entry-level position to a Master Mobility Technician:

  • Apprenticeship Mechanic: An entry-level position for students enrolled in accredited technical programs, offering hands-on mentoring and on-the-job experience.
  • Service Mechanic: For entry-level mechanics seeking to acquire skills in automotive repair and the mobility industry, focusing on general diagnosis and adaptive equipment installations.
  • Mobility Technician: For those who have completed Service Mechanic requirements and primary driving control training, beginning to install electronic and mechanical primary driving controls.
  • Certified Mobility Technician: Requires completed trainings and at least six months of hands-on experience, allowing for OEM electronic repairs and mentorship roles.
  • Advanced Mobility Technician: Requires completed certifications and at least 24 months of hands-on experience, expanding scope to include complex diagnostics and repairs.
  • Master Mobility Technician: The highest level, requiring extensive experience and advanced certifications (EMC, ASE), with the ability to perform any mobility installation or repair without supervision.

As you progress through these levels, you will unlock various incentives, including patches, toll reimbursement, additional PTO accrual, and opportunities for the President's Club trip.

Hiring Process & Application

We are actively seeking candidates from diverse backgrounds, not limited to the mobility sector. While OEM and ASE certifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory for entry. Proficiency in diagnostics is essential, and knowledge of 12-volt systems is a valuable asset.

If you are passionate about our mission and ready to contribute to our team, please apply. We look forward to reviewing your application and discussing how you can help us empower the disabled community.
