As an ATG/IAS/OPS/GVS Automation Technician, you will play a vital role in safeguarding national security by ensuring the reliable operation of fuel handling infrastructure at Department of Defense installations. Working independently or within small teams, you will perform testing, maintenance, and repair functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems.
Your day-to-day involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and installing electronic components and electrical systems using specialized hand tools and testing instruments. You will ensure the proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring, and leak detection equipment while maintaining organized, detailed records of all work performed. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites across the continental United States, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Japan, Guam, and Diego Garcia. You will coordinate with dispatchers, managers, and installation teams to maintain schedules and communicate effectively regarding any delays.
This position will be posted for at least five calendar days and will remain active until filled or a qualified pool of candidates is identified. Successful candidates must be able to acquire and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and/or Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days of hire. Additionally, required certifications and manufacturer proficiencies must be established within five months of employment.

Four years of experience performing installation, removal, maintenance, and testing on Fuel Handling components (gauges, instrumentation, and sensors). Experience with Government fuel accounting systems (AFHE, FMD, FAS, BSM-E, ATG). Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems (Veeder-Root, Ronan, Enraf, Barton, Pneumercator, Temposonics/MTS, ProGauge, E&H). Experience with Independent Alarm Systems (Scully, Magnetrol, E&H, Fafnir, Mercoid, Omnitrol, Pneumecator, TLC, Bindicator, Devar, Aggressive Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers). Experience with Overfill Protection or Ground Verification Systems (Scully, Varec, Fafnir, Programmable Logic Controllers). Experience with data communications via copper wires, fiber optics, and wireless devices.
