Our Rehabilitation Services team is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region. With over 700 skilled professionals dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, compassionate care, we work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation.
The Lee Health Athletic Training Program is part of the Lee Health Musculoskeletal Institute and Sports Medicine services. Through a partnership with the School District of Lee County, our certified athletic trainers support local student-athletes, schools, and sports organizations throughout Southwest Florida. We cover all public high schools in the county, supporting athletes across a wide variety of sports including football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, and more.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and participating in a successful school athletics injury prevention and treatment program. You will coordinate care alongside the Sports Medicine team, including physicians, head coaches, athletic directors, and Rehabilitation Services staff. Your day will involve collaborating with school Activities/Athletic Directors to develop injury prevention programs, establishing schedules for first responders, coordinating sports physicals, and maintaining regular communication with coaches, administrators, physicians, parents, and students regarding injuries, rehabilitation, and return-to-play participation.
