Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services for companion animals. Our mission is to support families through the most difficult moments of their pets' lives, ensuring dignity, safety, and comfort for every animal while guiding pet parents with empathy and clarity.
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will serve as a vital link between medical expertise and emotional support. This field-based role takes you directly to families' homes, where you will perform gentle examinations, manage pain, and implement comfort-focused treatment plans. Beyond clinical duties, you will guide families through end-of-life decisions, offering a steady presence during times of grief.
Supported by a dedicated remote administrative and teleadvice team, you will focus entirely on high-quality medical care and the human-animal bond. The position offers significant schedule flexibility, allowing you to manage your time and routes efficiently within a designated territory. You will work within a mission-driven, collaborative culture that values professional growth and meaningful impact every day.
Interested candidates are invited to apply with their resume and cover letter. The selection process typically includes an initial screening to discuss experience and mission alignment, followed by a technical interview to assess clinical judgment and communication skills. Final candidates may engage in a case review discussion to evaluate their approach to palliative care and client counseling.
Lap of Love is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. We believe that a variety of perspectives strengthens our ability to serve our community and the families we support.
