The Manufacturing Associate is a foundational role within the Standard Manufacturing department, designed to support the operation and setup of production machinery. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position serves as a critical link in maintaining production efficiency, safety, and quality standards. The role is ideal for individuals seeking to enter the manufacturing field, offering hands-on experience under the mentorship of seasoned operators.
In this capacity, you will be accountable for the end-to-end performance of your assigned machine, including setup, operation, cleaning, and preventative maintenance. Your daily work involves ensuring that all product specifications and tolerances are met through rigorous inspection, sampling, and testing. You will also manage inventory movements, maintain accurate documentation such as batch records and operation logs, and uphold strict hygiene and gowning protocols to ensure product integrity.
This position is based in North Brunswick, NJ, within an active manufacturing environment. The role operates on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) and may require extended hours and occasional weekend overtime. The workspace involves moderate temperatures with exposure to dust, odors, noise, fumes, and cleaning agents. As a team member, you will be expected to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE), including lab coats, face masks, safety shoes, gloves, and respirators, while performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, squatting, and working on rolling ladders or step stools.
Candidates meeting the basic requirements of a high school diploma or GED equivalent are encouraged to apply. No prior experience is necessary, provided you possess the ability to follow written instructions precisely, perform basic math, and demonstrate a mechanical inclination to understand equipment.
