The Office of the Governor serves as the central hub for the executive branch of Washington State government. As a new position within this office, the Associate General Counsel role sits at the intersection of high-stakes legal strategy and public service. You will work closely with the Governor's Chief Legal Counsel and Deputy Legal Counsel to provide strategic guidance on complex issues affecting the state. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact issues ranging from healthcare and immigration to public safety and infrastructure. You will be responsible for researching and analyzing legal issues, providing written and verbal briefings to the Governor and office staff, and guiding litigation involving the Governor's Office and state agencies. Additionally, you will support critical processes such as judicial appointments and clemency.
