At Deloitte, Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) do more than just build AI solutions; they help clients turn AI ambition into enterprise-scale impact. The AI & Engineering team leverages cutting-edge engineering capabilities to build, deploy, and operate integrated, verticalized sector solutions across software, data, AI, network, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Powered by engineering for business advantage, we transform mission-critical operations and enable clients to stay ahead with the latest advancements by modernizing technology and data platforms. Our delivery models are tailored to meet each client's unique requirements, pairing leading-class engineering with pod-based delivery and vertical expertise.
As an Agentic AI Associate FDE, you will sit at the forefront of AI transformations, working at the intersection of product, engineering, problem-solving, and client impact. Your primary focus is the "thinking layer" of AI systems, where you will design, build, and operationalize LLM-powered systems capable of reasoning, planning, retrieving information, using tools, and executing multi-step workflows reliably.
You will partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and drive client outcomes. This role involves embedding with clients to identify business needs and translating high-value GenAI use cases into tangible solutions. You will lead working sessions to shape these solutions, contributing independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members. Your work will shape how complex domain knowledge is transformed into usable AI behavior, maintaining a high bar for precision, traceability, and maintainability.
Recruiting for this role ends on September 30, 2026. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply before this date to be considered for the upcoming hiring cycle.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other legally protected basis, in accordance with applicable law.
