About the Role
The Associate, Financial Accounting position at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas, is designed to ensure the integrity of accounting records and maintain compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. This role plays a critical part in the monthly closing process, focusing on the accuracy of intercompany relationships, general ledger versus sub-ledger reconciliations, and the proper classification of investments and other balances.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing revenue and expense sharing arrangements, funding arrangements among affiliated entities, and the booking of accruals and provisions. The position requires a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP to produce or review financial information for inclusion in the company's consolidated financials. You will also identify issues related to internal controls, supply comprehensive recommendations to management to mitigate risks, and participate in external financial audits, including audit trail analysis, testing, and control documentation.
