The Office of Finance, Administration and Operations (FA&O) provides critical support to this mission, managing $325 million in operating activity and stewarding $1 billion in assets. Within FA&O, the Office of Research Administration (ORA) oversees approximately $100 million in annual sponsored research funding. This team serves as the backbone for the university's research enterprise, partnering with faculty to secure and optimize world-leading research while ensuring rigorous financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and manage the Post-Award team including hiring, training, and performance reviews
- check_circleOversee financial management of sponsored projects including revenue reconciliation and expense monitoring
- check_circleEnsure compliance with federal regulations, OMB Circulars, and sponsor financial reporting requirements
- check_circleDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures and internal controls for research administration
- check_circleCollaborate with technical experts to enhance financial systems and maintain data integrity
- check_circleBuild standard and ad hoc reports using business intelligence tools for financial monitoring
- check_circleProvide expert consultation on regulatory and fiscal management to staff, administrators, and faculty
- check_circleDevelop training materials and conduct sessions for ORA staff and campus partners
- check_circlePrepare and submit financial reports to sponsoring agencies as the authorized organization official
- check_circleCoordinate responses to audit requests and implement audit recommendations
