The University of South Florida's Muma College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in the newly formed School of Hospitality and Sport Management (SHSM). This school is the result of a strategic merger between the Hospitality & Tourism Management program and the Vinik Sport and Entertainment Management Program.
Ranked #12 nationally among university Hospitality and Tourism programs, SHSM provides an intellectual, collaborative, ethical, and welcoming learning environment for students pursuing leadership positions in hospitality, tourism, sport, and entertainment management globally. The school offers degrees at all three USF campuses (Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee), including a BS and MS in Hospitality Management, an MS in Sport Management, an undergraduate hospitality minor, and two certificate programs in event and beverage management.
SHSM leverages deep relationships with the business community, including McKibbon Hospitality (with a portfolio of over 100 hotels across 20 premier brands) and Mainsail Lodging & Development. The Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program (VSEM) ranks #4 in the world and #1 in Florida. This two-year Tampa-based graduate program offers an MBA in Sport Business and an M.S. in Sport & Entertainment Management, achieving nearly a 100% placement rate post-graduation. VSEM enjoys strong partnerships with major regional sports and entertainment properties, such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Fanatics, and Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
