As an Assistant Project Manager in Huntsville, AL, you will serve as a critical partner to the Project Manager and Superintendent, supporting the planning and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment where organization and attention to detail directly impact project success.
In this position, you will act as the central hub for project documentation, managing the flow of information between field personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and drawings. You will assist in developing construction schedules, preparing bid packages, and coordinating subcontractor buyouts. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive project logs, track job costs, and assist in the preparation of status reports and meeting minutes. This role requires a blend of administrative precision and field coordination to ensure seamless project delivery.

Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects. Experience working with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects or Resident Management System (RMS). Familiarity with construction project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms. Professional certifications related to project management such as PMI Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent. Previous experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projects.
