About the Role
As an Assistant Project Manager in Huntsville, AL, you will serve as a vital support to the Project Manager and Superintendent, ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment where organization and communication are key to keeping complex projects on track.
In this position, you will act as the central hub for project documentation, coordinating the flow of information between field personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing Requests for Information (RFIs), tracking submittals, and maintaining critical project logs. You will assist in developing construction schedules, preparing bid packages, and monitoring job costs to ensure financial and operational compliance. This role requires close collaboration with the Project Manager to handle administrative tasks, coordinate subcontractor buyouts, and prepare status reports that keep the team aligned with project goals.

Requirements

Nice to Have
Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects. Experience working with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects or Resident Management System (RMS). Familiarity with construction project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms. Professional certifications related to project management such as PMI Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent. Previous experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projects.
