About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join an EPC firm that self-performs a significant portion of the construction for utility-scale solar projects. This role is designed for recent college graduates or professionals with 2-4 years of field experience who are eager to manage large-scale utility solar projects from the ground up.
You will serve as a critical link between the Owner, engineering teams, and field operations. Your day-to-day involves tracking budget delivery, managing schedules, and overseeing construction activities to ensure projects remain on time and within budget. You will interact regularly with clients to meet their needs, maintain relationships with subcontractors, and troubleshoot field challenges alongside the engineering team.
This position requires 100% travel, primarily throughout the Southeast and extending as far as West Texas. You will be provided with a company truck and fuel card to support your mobility across job sites.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleAdminister QA/QC programs as work progresses on site
- check_circleConduct trade pre-construction meetings and coordinate permit inspections
- check_circleMaintain relationships between customers and subcontractors
- check_circleManage and update project schedules with the project manager and schedulers
- check_circleManage subcontractors onsite to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- check_circleAssist project engineers with RFIs and submittals
- check_circleCoordinate with engineering and field teams to troubleshoot field challenges
- check_circleMonitor construction activities, productivity, and generate regular reports
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate degree or equivalent experience
- verified2-4 years experience as Assistant Project Manager on large-scale utility solar projects or field experience on site
- verifiedProficiency utilizing Microsoft Office programs
- verifiedAbility to travel to different solar projects throughout the United States
