The YMCA Arlington is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Summer Camp Assistant Program Director. This role is designed for a passionate youth development leader who thrives in a fun, positive environment while maintaining high expectations for child outcomes. As the Assistant Program Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the summer day camp programs, ensuring every child receives enriching educational experiences.
In this position, you will establish meaningful relationships with individual children and families, responding promptly to their needs. You will assist staff in developing a summer camp curriculum fortified with meaningful experiences that meet the interests of both the group and the individual child. Additionally, you will play a key role in building our team by assisting in the interview and hiring of qualified staff, as well as supervising and providing orientation and training for summer camp personnel.
