This position serves as an Assistant Professor within the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine division, blending clinical excellence with academic leadership. The role is designed to support the department's mission by delivering high-quality patient care while advancing the field through education and research.
You will be expected to dedicate four days per week to clinical practice, supporting the Sport Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery service call. In partnership with the Chief Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon, you will address all divisional clinical needs. This includes managing consult services, providing pre- and post-operative ambulatory care, performing bedside procedures, and participating in multidisciplinary rounding.
A core component of this role is the formal and informal instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows. You will actively participate in operative resident teaching and education, attend division conferences, and engage with national organizations. Additionally, you are expected to continue producing scholarly output to contribute to the academic standing of the department.
You will dedicate a portion of your time to research activities. This work will reflect existing grant funding and involve preparing future grant submissions to drive innovation and discovery within the field.
Candidates will develop mutually agreed-upon goals in partnership with the department director and the division chief upon appointment.
