About the Role

The Assistant Operations Manager is a hands-on technical and leadership position designed to support the operations team in overseeing daily facility activities. This role serves as a key contributor to the area's operational performance and acts as a developer of frontline talent. You will play a pivotal role in sustaining and advancing operational excellence by sharing accountability for safety, production, quality, cost control, staffing, and project execution within a defined process area.

In this capacity, you will drive safety, quality, production, and cost outcomes by analyzing loss trends, implementing countermeasures, and leading level board discussions. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to prioritize and resolve operational issues, ensuring consistent use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and loss tracking systems. Additionally, you will help build clear daily and weekly plans to align teams and maintain shift continuity, while serving as a technical resource by staying current on unit operations and sharing knowledge with peers and operators.
