This position supports a critical requirement for USSOCOM to conduct Realistic Military Training (RMT) combat scenarios across various locations in the United States. The role involves utilizing simulated and blank fire training aides to create authentic environments where specific individuals act as enemy Opposition Forces (OPFOR), providing realistic enemy responses.
As an Assistant Site Manager (ASM), you will serve as the lead role player manager for a training site. Your day-to-day involves ensuring all role players are properly trained, briefed, and proficient in safe small arms simulated employment. You will act as the primary liaison between the Lead Role Player Supervisor Officer (LRSO) and the role players, managing contractor travel schedules and ensuring the safeguarding of all government information. This role requires a strict adherence to safety protocols, including the management of firearms, safety gear, and wardrobe items, while ensuring no unauthorized photography or video recording occurs during training evolutions.
Applicants must be available during core work hours established by the government customer. The selection process prioritizes candidates with documented operational experience working directly with U.S. Special Operation Forces (SOF) or those who have executed support services for 45 or more role players. Candidates must also possess a Secret Clearance and demonstrate proficiency in small arms handling and safety controls.
