Job Description
About Coeur Mining
Coeur Mining, Inc. is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with five wholly-owned operations: the Las Chispas silver-gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly-owns the Silvertip polymetallic critical minerals exploration project in British Columbia.
About the Role
Coeur Alaska is seeking a motivated student to complete a summer internship with our Assay group at the Kensington Mine in 2026 (May through August). The Kensington Mine is an underground gold mine located within the Berners Bay Mining District about 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Our purpose statement is, We Pursue a Higher Standard. Everything we do is fueled by this statement; it is our foundation and inspiration for our actions every day. At Coeur, we PROTECT our people, places and planet, DEVELOP quality resources, growth and plans, and DELIVER impactful results through teamwork.
Internship Experience
Our summer internship program will provide you with the opportunity to gain real-world, on-the-job experience at one of our US operating mine sites. Interns are mentored throughout the summer by industry professionals and given ownership of projects with a tangible impact on the mine. Internship experience typically spans about 12 weeks.
Each intern will be creatively and technically working together to create a group presentation, highlighting a company area of improvement. The summer internship experience truly culminates with all interns traveling for an expenses paid trip to Chicago! This includes each group presenting their project, meeting and learning from key company leaders, as well as networking with their fellow bright early careers participants across the company.
Equal Opportunity
It is the policy of Coeur Mining, Inc. and its direct and indirect United States subsidiaries (the “Company”) to provide equal opportunity employment to all Employees and applicants for employment. No person working at the Company's facilities in the United States is to be discriminated against in employment because of race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
