Artists in Residence bring specialized talent and skill in dance, theater, music, literary, or visual arts to our school community. This role is dedicated to working with middle and high school students to share knowledge in a specific art form, build art-making skills, and encourage the creative process.
In this position, you will present art programs tailored to the learning needs of a diverse student population. Success in this role requires the ability to adapt to a wide range of teaching conditions and to work collaboratively with teachers and various school community constituents. The role also involves physical engagement, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying art supplies, equipment, instruments, and classroom furniture weighing up to 40 lbs, as well as bending, twisting, reaching, standing, and/or sitting for extended periods.
