This position serves as the technical anchor for complex data analytics application issues, bridging the gap between engineering, product, and support teams. You will lead the escalation process for large-scale data processing problems, ensuring system stability and data integrity across our cloud-based platforms.
In this role, you will not only diagnose and resolve critical incidents involving volume, performance, and data quality but also drive long-term improvements. Your day-to-day involves investigating issues across Azure data services, Databricks, and SQL Server environments, utilizing advanced T-SQL skills to tune and fix production data challenges. Beyond immediate troubleshooting, you will create reusable assets like runbooks and diagnostic query packs to empower the broader team. You will also act as a mentor, coaching analysts and partnering with engineering to ensure root causes are permanently closed.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a structured evaluation designed to assess both technical depth and collaborative fit. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify experience with Azure data engineering and Python, followed by a technical deep-dive focusing on T-SQL performance tuning and Databricks troubleshooting. The final stage involves a system design discussion and a team fit interview to ensure alignment with our support culture.
We value clear communication and the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights for stakeholders. Our team thrives on collaboration, where technical leads actively partner with product and engineering to drive systemic improvements rather than just applying band-aids to recurring problems.
