The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) is a national trade association committed to providing high-quality business services and products to O&P professionals. AOPA maintains a hybrid in-office/remote work policy. Employees currently work two days per week in-office and three days remote. Our office is located in Alexandria, VA.
About the Role
AOPA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Communications & Marketing Intern for the summer of 2026 (July – August) to support its communications, marketing, and membership initiatives. This part-time internship (20 hours per week) is project-based and ideal for a rising senior or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and association communications within a healthcare-focused nonprofit environment.
In this role, you will contribute to high-impact campaigns, national events, and advocacy efforts while building a strong portfolio of professional work. You will gain exposure to national-level healthcare advocacy and association management, with the opportunity to receive mentorship from an experienced communications professional. This position offers the potential to become a permanent role upon successful completion.
