About the Position
Nauset Regional High School seeks a dedicated French Teacher to guide the educational process and ensure the achievement of district curriculum goals. Reporting to the school principal and department head, this role is designed to foster a motivating, safe, and supportive learning environment for students from diverse socio-economic levels and cultural backgrounds.
The Role in Context
In this position, you will plan and implement high-quality, standards-based lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners. The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, requiring the ability to modify and scaffold content for students with varying abilities, including those in Special Education. You will manage a well-structured classroom to maximize learning time while establishing clear standards for student behavior.
A key aspect of this role involves utilizing a variety of formal and informal assessments to accurately measure student progress toward grade-level mastery. Based on these results, you will modify further instruction and communicate findings effectively with students and parents. Success in this position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and assessment design, advocate for children, and maintain effective working relationships with the school community.
