This Contract to Hire position is based out of Northridge, CA, and is fully onsite. The Chemist plays a vital role in supporting new product development by performing qualitative and quantitative analyses on a variety of sample types. You will be an integral part of the Drug Delivery Systems group, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of multiple concurrent projects.
In this role, you will not only execute routine and non-routine analyses but also actively contribute to method development, validation, and troubleshooting. Your work will directly impact the strategic and tactical operations of the analytical department, requiring you to apply strong chemistry knowledge to interpret complex data and resolve analytical issues. You will also assist in preparing scientific presentations and research articles, bridging the gap between technical laboratory work and broader organizational goals.

Experience developing analytical methods and performing material or product characterization in academic or industry settings. Proficiency with advanced analytical instrumentation including FTIR, LC-UV / LC-MS, GC-FID / GC-MS, and ICP-MS. Strong background in analytical chemistry with practical laboratory experience. Ability to interpret complex analytical data and apply quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
Skills: Analytical Chemistry, Ftir, Icp-MS, LC-Uv, LC-MS, GC-Fid, GC-MS, HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (or related field) required.
