About the Role

Harrison Street is seeking a Content Specialist within the Innovation Department to report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer. This role serves as a critical bridge between human expertise and AI-enabled systems. The primary mission is to capture, structure, and maintain the Firm's institutional knowledge, translating deep professional insights into high-quality inputs that inform the development and continuous improvement of proprietary AI models.

In this position, you will extract insights from professionals across the organization, including investment, asset management, portfolio management, and Impact teams. You will ensure that the Firm's collective institutional judgment is preserved in a searchable, well-structured knowledge base. Beyond technical documentation, you will support the development of internal and external-facing materials, such as case studies and narrative content, that highlight the Firm's innovative use of AI tools and techniques for key stakeholders.

The Day-to-Day

Your work will involve transcribing and synthesizing notes from key management, investment, and strategy meetings to identify recurring themes and decision logic. You will collaborate closely with engineering and data teams as AI models are trained, tested, and refined, acting as a quality bridge to ensure fidelity between what professionals know and what models learn. Additionally, you will assist the Chief Innovation Officer in developing marketing and communications materials, drafting internal briefings, and supporting broader firm-wide storytelling around innovation.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will move through a structured interview process designed to assess both communication skills and cultural fit. The process typically includes:

1. Initial screening call with the Talent Acquisition team.
2. Deep-dive interview with the Chief Innovation Officer focusing on synthesis and translation of complex concepts.
3. Final round discussion to explore alignment with the Firm's innovation culture.
