You'll be part of the dedicated Amazon team at the delivery station – the last stop before we deliver smiles to customers. This fast-paced, active role is where trucks full of orders arrive, and the team prepares them for the final leg of delivery. You will load conveyor belts, transport packages, and stage deliveries to be picked up by drivers, ensuring the logistics chain moves smoothly.
Working at a delivery station involves a dynamic environment. You'll be operating around moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. The work is physical, requiring you to stand for long periods, walk around, and occasionally climb stairs.
The environment varies by location and time of day. While climate controls are in place, temperatures can range between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse, and may exceed 90°F in truck yards or inside trailers on hot days. Noise levels can also be high at times, though hearing protection is provided if needed.
Safety is a top priority. All teams share safety tips daily, and protective gear is available onsite. Depending on the specific role or location, wearing a hard hat and/or safety shoes may be a requirement. The dress code is generally relaxed, but comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required. In some business units, protective safety footwear is mandatory. To help you prepare, Amazon may provide a $110 Zappos gift code towards the purchase of shoes.
