The Division of Allergy and Immunology at Phoenix Children's is a dynamic group of 11 providers, including 7 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers. We serve a busy and growing patient population across the Phoenix metro area, with clinics on the main hospital campus and in the East, Southwest, and Northwest Valleys. Our team manages a diverse caseload ranging from common allergic disorders to complex primary immunodeficiencies and inborn errors of immunity.
Currently led by two physicians, the division is expanding to include a third immunology-focused provider to better meet the needs of our patients. We are deeply integrated into the regional healthcare ecosystem, participating in multi-disciplinary clinics such as the Immunohematology and 22q clinics, and maintaining strong collaborative ties with Mayo Clinic Arizona.
This position is for a physician focused on immunology and inborn errors of immunity. You will join a team dedicated to providing hope, healing, and the best healthcare for children and their families. The role offers a unique blend of clinical practice, academic leadership, and research opportunity.
You will provide comprehensive patient care services on both inpatient and outpatient bases, including subspecialty consultations, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and urgent/emergent care. The position emphasizes family-centered care and adherence to contemporary evidence-based medicine to achieve the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Education is a cornerstone of this position. You will play a vital role in training rotating pediatric residents and collaborating with Allergy/Immunology fellows through the joint Phoenix Children's and Mayo Clinic Arizona fellowship program. Your academic appointments will span the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix, and Creighton University School of Medicine. Expect to lead teaching rounds, lectures, and case conferences, and participate in Grand Rounds and Journal Clubs with our partners at Mayo Clinic.
The clinic is actively engaged in clinical and translational research, with a focus on food allergy, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, asthma, and more. A genuine interest in participating in these research efforts is essential for this role.
