About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to join our team at Oakland Airport. This position is critical to maintaining the safety and security of our terminal, airfield, and concession areas. You will serve as the first line of defense, ensuring a secure environment for passengers, employees, and contractors while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of screening, monitoring, and active patrol duties. You will inspect concession products and personal items using advanced technology, including CEIA Electro-Magnetic Inspection Scanners and Evolv Edge screening machines. A significant portion of your time will be spent managing access points, validating airport-issued badges, and escorting unbadged contractors through TSA-regulated areas.
You will also play a key role in passenger operations by assisting with queue management at TSA checkpoints, supporting Automated Passport Control kiosks, and guiding travelers through the divesting process. Beyond screening, you will conduct perimeter patrols, monitor traffic flow, and perform tool control for construction activities. In the event of an emergency, you will be responsible for assisting law enforcement in establishing perimeters and controlling access.
Shift and Location
This role is based at Oakland Airport and operates on a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM. The position is available to start as soon as possible.
