As an Airport Baggage Acceptance Handler at Tampa International Airport (TPA), you will be the first point of contact for travelers' checked luggage. Your day-to-day involves receiving, scanning, loading, unloading, and distributing checked baggage while maintaining accurate records. You will set up conveyances to sort incoming bags, ensure correct loading, and manage the flow of luggage to and from the TSA. This role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and the ability to operate safety scanners and other equipment in a fast-paced environment.
The position offers a dynamic work environment where you will work in rotating shifts (A.M., P.M., and Overnight), including nights, weekends, and holidays. You may work in outside weather conditions, ranging from severe seasonal elements to standard airport operations. This is a Part Time, Non-Exempt role with flexible scheduling options.
