Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare and paint aircraft, support equipment, and allied component surfaces
- check_circleMask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted
- check_circlePaint insignia, letters, or numerals on aircraft surfaces using stencils
- check_circleRoughen aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure paint adhesion
- check_circleRemove old paint from aircraft using liquid paint remover and scrapers
- check_circleSmooth surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool to ensure proper finish
- check_circleApply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials using brushes, rollers, and spray guns
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school degree or equivalent
- verified5+ years experience in aircraft preparation and painting
- verifiedSpecialized in SCA occupational code 23740 or 05310
- verifiedCompleted Aircraft Paint Touch Up and Markings Course (N-701-0014) or Aircraft Paint/Finish Course (C-600-3182)
- verifiedU.S. citizenship required
