About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a skilled pilot performing aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role is designed for those seeking an exciting and rewarding career with exceptional federal benefits and job stability. You will partner with a team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior patterns, collecting and analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
AMO is actively recruiting seasoned pilots and those with military training. This is a full-time, security-based opportunity where your aviation skills will directly support the agency's critical mission.
Hiring Process

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Maximum age 40 (or 37 without waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; FAA Class 2 medical (or Class 1/Military) dated within 12 months; and 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible).
