About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role is designed for those seeking an exciting and rewarding career with exceptional federal benefits and job stability. You will partner with a team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day involves monitoring suspect behavior patterns, collecting and analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Duty Locations
Duty locations are offered based on operational requirements, mission needs, and critical agency hiring needs. You must be willing to work at any duty location within the region you select. Regions include:
- Southeast Region: Homestead, FL and CAMB (Aguadilla, PR).
- Southwest Region: Tucson and Yuma, AZ; San Diego, CA; El Paso, Laredo, and McAllen, TX.
- NASOC UAS Locations: Sierra Vista, AZ; San Angelo, TX.
A duty location will be assigned after successfully completing a three-part assessment. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) locations.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or under (or eligible for age waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; FAA Class 2 medical within 12 months; and 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible).
