Air and Marine Operations (AMO), a component of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is an elite team of highly trained professionals dedicated to protecting America. About the Role

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking a dynamic environment where they can utilize their expertise to support national security. You will perform critical duties including air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband via land, air, or sea. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Hiring Process

Duty Locations

Duty locations are assigned based on operational requirements, mission needs, and critical agency hiring priorities. Successful candidates must be willing to work at any duty location within the region they select. Potential locations include:

• Southeast Region: Homestead, FL and CAMB (Aguadilla, PR).
• Southwest Region: Tucson and Yuma, AZ; San Diego, CA; El Paso, Laredo, and McAllen, TX.
• NASOC UAS Locations: Sierra Vista, AZ; San Angelo, TX.

A specific duty location will be offered after successfully completing a three-part assessment. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) locations.
