Your day-to-day operations will involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. You will monitor behavior patterns of suspects, analyze strategic and tactical intelligence, and support search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. This is a full-time, security-based opportunity offering job stability and the chance to serve on the front lines of national security.
AMO utilizes a streamlined application process for new recruits. There are three primary ways to apply:
Stay Updated: It is highly recommended to opt into CBP's talent repository by selecting the "Contact a Recruiter" button. Choose "Air and Marine Operations" and "Air Interdiction Agent" as your position of interest to complete pre-screening questions. This ensures you receive monthly updates on webinars, career expos, and future opportunities.
Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment. Upon completion, a duty location will be offered based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any location within the selected region, which includes the Southeast Region (Homestead, FL; Aguadilla, PR), Southwest Region (AZ, CA, TX), and NASOC UAS locations (AZ, TX).
AMO is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. The agency actively seeks seasoned pilots and those with military training to join its ranks.
Note: A temporary increase in the maximum allowable age to 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position has been approved by the Commissioner of CBP. Veterans' preference eligibility may also affect age requirements.
