As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a critical asset in aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role is designed for experienced pilots who want to transition into a rewarding federal career with exceptional stability and benefits. You will perform air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
This is a full-time, security-based position where your aviation skills are directly applied to safeguarding the nation's borders. We actively seek seasoned pilots and those with military training to join our ranks.

Note on Age Requirements: While the standard maximum age for initial appointment to a primary law enforcement officer within DHS is the day before an individual's 37th birthday, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase to age 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position. Veterans' preference eligibility may also affect age restrictions.
