About the Role

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a critical asset in aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role is designed for experienced pilots who want to leverage their skills in a high-stakes environment. You will conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior patterns, collecting and analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Hiring Process

The recruitment process for Air Interdiction Agents is rigorous and designed to identify the most qualified candidates. The journey typically involves the following steps:

2. Assessment: Successful applicants will complete a three-part assessment to determine suitability for the role.
3. Training: Upon selection, you must successfully complete the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC). Failure to complete this training may result in separation or reassignment.
4. Placement: A duty location will be offered after the assessment and training, based on operational and mission requirements.
