About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking to apply their expertise in a high-stakes environment where every flight contributes to national security. You will partner with a diverse team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled goods via land, air, and sea. Your day-to-day involves monitoring suspect behavior patterns, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting critical search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

To qualify for the Air Interdiction Agent - Elite Pilot Opportunities at U.S. Customs and Border Protection position, applicants should have: U.S. Citizenship; Primary U.S. residency for at least 3 of the last 5 years; Maximum age 40 (or 37 without waiver) for original appointment; FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings (Dual, Airplane, or Helicopter with instrument); 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible); and 250 Pilot-in-Command hours.
