As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a skilled team of pilots and professionals who are on the front lines of national security. You will perform critical duties including air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land, air, and sea. Your day-to-day work involves monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

A duty location will be offered after successfully completing a three-part assessment. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC).

Age Requirements: While the standard maximum age for original appointment to a primary law enforcement officer within DHS is the day before an individual's 37th birthday, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase to age 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position. Veterans' preference eligibility may also affect age requirements.
